At the heart of my practice is a belief that the natural world brings beauty, mystery, metaphor, and meaning to life.

I make contemporary textiles using ancient techniques like batik, shibori, and hand stitching because these practices are organic and well suited to the cultural and political observations often found in my work.

Working in rhythm with nature gives me time to observe and discover deeper meaning in an unhurried manner. Each piece evolves slowly, passing through my hands many times.

In a hectic society of distractions, deep fakes, and artifice, my work encourages observers to stop, look, and contemplate another way of moving through the world.
